AKSEPT - a place where people living with hiv/aids can meet! Since 1987 AKSEPT has existed as a resourse centre for all hiv-positive people and those affected. In 1998 AKSEPT moved into a restored villa in the center of Oslo.

Everybody who in one way or another is affected by hiv/aids is welcome to contact AKSEPT for support. The services of AKSEPT are free of charge.

AKSEPT’s services are divided into three categories each of which works directly with our visitors: Open House - a meeting place for people who are living with hiv/aids, and is open every day during the week, except Sundays.

Outpatient Department - provides individual and group conselling as well as alternative forms of therapy.

Stationary Care Unit (SCU) - offers individual rooms for convalescence, rehabilitation, temporary care and terminal care.

At AKSEPT you will meet people in the same situation and who have lived with the virus for 20 years or more – you are not alone!
AKSEPT is only open for people who are affected by hiv. The staff has professional secrecy to ensure your anonymity!
AKSEPT collaborates with hospitals in Oslo and has nurses employed at the SCU. You will get good and professional counselling!
At AKSEPT you will meet all kinds of people with different backgrounds. There is room for you as well! We can also meet you outside AKSEPT’s premisses.
AKSEPT is one of the programmes of the Church City Mission Oslo (Kirkens Bymisjon) and is financially supported on the whole by the Oslo City Council.

In addition AKSEPT has available three rooms for rent for hiv-positives and those affected for a shorter period of time (maximum two weeks). Price: 100 kr/person/night.
